Friday Night Prayer, Operation Christmas Child, & Walk-Thru-the-NT

FRIDAY NIGHT PRAYER
This Friday from 7:00 - 8:00 pm at the Blazina's place.  Everyone's invited!

YOUTH
This Friday, November 6 is MUSIC NIGHT!  We'll be doing a bit of jammin' and just hanging out!   Meet at the Hertzsprung home (120 Tuscany Hills Circle NW) for Bible study at 6:00 pm (playing will begin about 7:00). Bring your favorite instrument, your favorite songs and a friend!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a project of Samaritan's Purse, brings the message of God's unconditional love to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes.  You or your family can be a part of bringing hope and joy to a needy child by packing your own shoe box!  Boxes and information brochures are available at church.  Packed shoe boxes can be brought to church on
Sunday, November 22.  For more information on OCC, click here.

If you or your small group are interested in volunteering at the OCC processing center, please contact Samaritan's Purse or check out their website.

WALK THRU THE NEW TESTAMENT
Learn the key people and places of the New Testament in an interactive, fun and memorable experience!  A "Walk Thru the New Testament" seminar is being held at Richmond Hill Baptist Church on Saturday, November 21 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.  This is a great event for the whole family!  Cost is $25 per person or $60 per family and includes the seminar, book, lunch and child care for children grade 1 and younger.  To register, call the church office at 403-242-1256.  Registration deadline is November 13.

BIRTHDAYS THIS WEEK...
Birthday blessings to the following people who are celebrating a birthday this week...
Janis Litorco (Nov. 6) and Joyce Poon (Nov. 7).  Did we miss you or someone in your family?  Let Steve know and we'll update our records.

GOD'S WORD IN YOU
We only have ONE verse left in the Scripture Memory Challenge (a verse a week for 52 weeks)!  As an added incentive to hide God's Word in your heart, Steve will take anyone and everyone out for dinner who is able to quote all 52 verses!  Bible Memory brochures with the verses are available on the information table at church, or contact Steve and he'll send you a copy.

Here's the memory verse for this week:   Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20)

SERMON SCRIPTURE
This week, we wrap up our journey through the book of Acts.  Check out our passage, Acts 28:11-31, ahead of time!
