INTERNATIONAL
DINNER - THIS SATURDAY!
Get ready for an ethnic feast as the Hertzsprung small group hosts an International Potluck Dinner at the Tuscany Club this coming Saturday, May 23 at 6:30 pm. Come prepared to share an evening together celebrating our diverse heritage! If you haven't signed up, please contact Meyen Hertzsprung and let her know what ethnic dish you'd like to bring.
HELP NEEDED
Kurt & Sarah Gullacher and their family are moving to Okotoks at the end of the month and could use some helping hands. They're looking for help loading the truck on the evening of Friday, May 29 (pizza supper provided!) and then with unloading at their new place the next day, Saturday, May 30. If you can help on either day, it would be most appreciated. Please contact Kurt & Sarah at 403-569-9021 or by email. This is a great opportunity for your small group to serve together!
EVANGELISM TRAINING
Do you find it hard to share your faith with others? Looking for some practical help in learning how to do so more effectively? Come on out for some evangelism training on Saturday, May 30 from 9:00 am to 2:15 pm in the chapel at the seminary in Cochrane. We'll talk about our fears related to evangelism, how to tell our stories and methods for sharing the gospel. If you plan to come, please sign-up at church or contact Steve. Breakfast, lunch and refreshments are provided.
Also, just a reminder that we're going to track how we're doing as a church with sharing the Good News about Jesus. When you plant a seed by sharing your faith, let Steve know and we'll add it to the total.
BAPTISM SERVICE & POTLUCK
Mark your calendars! We're going to gather at Thom & Lorie Gordon's on Sunday, June 7 after church for a baptism service and BBQ (please bring a salad, side dish or dessert to share). Come celebrate with and support those in our church family who are taking the next step in their walk with Jesus by following Him in believer's baptism. If you're interested in being baptized or even just exploring it further, please talk with Steve, Bob, Thom or Max.
CNBC ANNUAL CONVENTION
In Edmonton, June 30 - July 2. A great opportunity to connect with others from Canadian National Baptist Convention (CNBC) churches across Canada for worship, celebration and training. Amazing programs for children and youth, combined with great sessions covering a variety of areas for ministry and spiritual growth make this an event for the whole family. Pick up a brochure at church and make plans to attend!
SERMON FOLLOW-UP
Thinking about the message last Sunday...
This week, the message will be based on look at Acts 13:13-52, where we continue following Paul and Barnabas on their missionary journey.
GOD'S WORD IN YOU
Here's the memory verse for this week: If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone (Romans 12:18, NIV).

Thinking about the message last Sunday...
- A key point: Giving ourselves away means being willing to give away our best.
- For further reflection: Jesus said, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it." (Matthew 16:24-25) How does this verse apply to your life? How does it apply to Tapestry?
