EASTER
At church this Sunday we'll have a special Easter message and celebrate the Lord's Supper together. To help prepare your heart for Easter, check out these daily readings:
The Bible calls us to reach out to the poor and to serve the disenfranchised. As we learned last Sunday, you can make an eternal difference in the life of a child who is trapped by poverty by sponsoring a child through Compassion Canada. Your $35 monthly sponsorship provides educational, social and health benefits through a local church in the community where the child lives. Your child will be involved in Christian training and learn that Jesus deeply loves him or her. And, you'll have the opportunity to develop a relationship with the child through letter writing. Visit the sign-up table at church on Sunday and select a child who desperately needs your help!
YOUTH
This Friday, April 10 we'll be having an Easter egg scavenger hunt. Meet at 6:00 PM outside the Starbucks in Tuscany. Be ready to run and bring all the friends you want!

NEW SMALL GROUP
Janet & Kevin Napady are starting a new small group on Thursday evenings that will meet in Silver Springs. If you're not currently part of a small group, feel free to talk with Janet or Kevin (403-288-1318) about joining their new group.
UNDERSTANDING AND APPLYING THE BIBLE
At Tapestry, we are committed to loving, learning and living the Bible. Because of this, we want every member of our community to have the opportunity to learn how to accurately interpret the Scriptures and to faithfully apply them to everyday life. "Understanding and Applying the Bible" is just such an opportunity. In eight hours of teaching, you will learn basic principles of studying the Bible, including how to investigate the background of a passage in the Bible, analyze its language and structure, and translate its meaning into daily life. These skills can serve you well as a small group leader, Bible teacher, lay preacher, in your own personal study, or just sharing with friends. Please sign up at church or contact Glenn Watson at glenn.watson@csbs.ca. Here are the details:
The men of Tapestry have challenged the women to a laser tag battle on Saturday, April 25 from 6:00 - 8:40 pm at Laser Quest. Space is limited to the first 30 people to sign up. Please contact Gordon Weynschenk or Lynda Blazina to register or for more information. This is great event to invite friends or neighbors to!

Thinking about Steve's message last Sunday on Acts 11:1-18...
- A key point: Misunderstandings are a reality of life, but if handled properly are an opportunity to learn and grow and can lead to deeper understanding. We need to watch our reactions, seek to bring understanding and have open, teachable hearts.
- For further reflection: Think about a time when you and another person experienced a misunderstanding. How did you respond? How could you have responded differently?
