Baptism
Celebration & BBQ
We're going to gather at Thom & Lorie Gordon's on Sunday, May 25 at 3:00 pm (note time change) for a baptism service, followed by a BBQ (please bring a salad, side dish or dessert to share). Come celebrate with and support those in our church family who are taking the next step in their walk with Jesus by following Him in believer's baptism. If you're interested in being baptized or even just exploring it further, please talk with Steve, Bob, Thom or Max.
Helping in the Hat
Jason and Leigh Wilks are starting a church in Medicine Hat as part of the Tapestry network and are looking for a group from Tapestry who can help with their kids day camp program for 4 days from July 23 - 26 (Wed - Sat). For more info, please contact Jason at jason@pathway-medicinehat.com.
Toward a Growing Marriage Seminar
Saturday. Catch-up day. But what if you devoted a Saturday to catch up on your marriage? Toward a Growing Marriage is a one-day conference with Dr. Gary Chapman (author of The Five Love Languages) on Saturday, May 24, 9:00 - 3:30 at Grace Baptist Church. Tickets ($43 per person) are available from Steve, Christian Publications, Blessings Christian Marketplace and Mountainview Bookstore (at the seminary in Cochrane).
Community Cleanup
Due to bad weather, the Tuscany Community Spring Cleanup planned for last Saturday was postponed to Saturday, May 24 from 9:00 to noon. We'll join our neighbors for morning juice/coffee before hitting the parks and trails, then enjoy a BBQ lunch to wrap up the event. Come on out, slap on a Tapestry t-shirt and volunteer a few hours with friends and family serving our community. Please contact Lynda Blazina or Steve Rathje to sign up.
Host a Family
There is a great and practical way for you to be a huge blessing to both of our church plants. Tapestry Rocky Ridge and Tapestry Citadel are hosting Bike Fests this summer, and they're looking for families to host the team from Heart of Junction Church in Colorado. This team stayed with our families last year, and it was a great experience for everyone involved. If you are able to host a single, couple, or family with kids July 16 - 20, please contact Kyla Moon via email and let her know. If you're disappointed because 4 days just isn't long enough to really get to know someone, then you're in luck. Kevin and Kalina Young will get here early to prepare for Bike Fest, and, along with their 5 year old son Sam, will need a place to stay. If you have a spare room, a camper trailer, second house, basement suite, or even 2 couches available July 8 - 20, please let Kyla know.
Family Mission Trip
Want to add some meaning to your next family vacation? Want to give your children the opportunity to experience another culture? Family AdVenture is a family-oriented, "kid-friendly" mission experience involving a variety of work and ministry opportunities organized by Venture Teams International. Steve & Marilyn Rathje will be leading a team this summer (July 19 - 30) to Tepic, Mexico. For more info, please contact the Rathjes or visit VTI's Family AdVenture website.
