UNDERSTANDING AND APPLYING THE BIBLE - THIS WEEKEND!
We are committed as a church family to loving, learning and living the Bible.  Because of this, we want every member of our community to have the opportunity to learn how to accurately interpret the Scriptures and to faithfully apply them to everyday life. "Understanding and Applying the Bible" is just such an opportunity.  In eight hours of teaching, you will learn basic principles of studying the Bible, including how to investigate the background of a passage in the Bible, analyze its language and structure, and translate its meaning into daily life.  Take advantage of this free opportunity to deepen your understanding and grow!  Please sign-up by contacting Glenn Watson. Here are the details:

COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP
At Tapestry, we want Tuscany to be an even better place because we're part of it!  We have an opportunity to get involved and help keep our community clean by volunteering at the annual spring clean-up on Saturday, May 9 from 9:00 am - noon.  We'll join our neighbors for morning juice/coffee before hitting the parks and trails, then enjoy a BBQ lunch at the Club to wrap up the event.  Come on out and volunteer a few hours with friends and family serving our community.  Contact Steve to sign-up.

PRINCE RUPERT
Josh and Khara Tait are returning to Prince Rupert, BC this June to help out with Seafest and to continue building relationships with the local people.  They would love to have some people from Tapestry join them as they seek to give themselves away and sow seeds for a possible church plant down the road.  If interested, please contact Josh & Khara at jktait@hotmail.com for more information.

FIREPROOF YOUR MARRIAGE BIBLE STUDY
Based on the FIREPROOF movie and the Love Dare challenge, this six-week study is designed to help you build a strong, covenant marriage.  Session themes cover issues such as honoring your spouse, forgiveness, unconditional love, building marriage on prayer and God's word, and more.  The date and location are yet to be finalized, but if you're interested in participating please contact Bob Shelton so we can gauge the level of interest.

SERMON SCRIPTURE
This week, we'll be looking at Acts 12.  Check it out ahead of time and read how the early church was surprised by an answer to prayer.

GOD'S WORD IN YOU
Here's the memory verse for this week:  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:15-16 NIV).
