Prayer Walking, Constitutional Amendments, & Women's Conference
Just a reminder that Steve is taking some time off until August 11. In his absence, please contact one of the elders: Bob Shelton, Thom Gordon or Max Blazina.
PRAYER WALKING
Our regular Friday night prayer times planned for the first and third Friday of each month will be modified for July and August. Rather than meet at the Blazina's, we'll meet at the Tuscany Club at 7:00 pm, divide into smaller groups and prayer walk around Tuscany for about an hour. Join us this coming Friday, July 17, then again on August 7 & August 21.
CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS
A second vote to adopt changes to Tapestry's constitution will be held after the service on Sunday, July 26. The changes are in keeping with recommendations from Canada Revenue Agency related to our application to become a registered charity. To review the proposed amendments, please click here or pick up a copy of the revised constitution at church. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of our elders (Bob, Max or Thom) prior to the 26th.

Scottish Dance, Stampede Breakfast, & Summer Changes
HAPPY
CANADA DAY!
SCOTTISH
DANCE
We're having another ceilidh (pronounced
'caylee') - a Scottish dance similar to square
dancing - on Friday, July 10 at
Cathy & Ted's place (90 Huggard Rd, Calgary),
which is out in Springbank. Bring some
munchies or a dessert to share and something to
drink. Things will get underway around 7:00
pm. Everyone is welcome!
STAMPEDE
BREAKFAST
Tapestry is once again helping out with the Tuscany
Community Stampede Breakfast on Saturday,
July 11, 8:45 am. Dust off yer cowboy
hat, shine up 'em boots, slap on a Tapestry t-shirt
and join in the fun! Our involvement in the
past has not only helped make the event a success,
but sends a strong message that we care about and
want to serve our community. To volunteer,
please sign-up at church or contact Steve.
If any children/youth are interested in being part of
a western-style dance/singing performance at the
breakfast again this year, please contact Evane Jukes
at 403-239-7817 or by email.
SUMMER'S
CHANGES
With summer here, please note the following:
- Friday Night Prayer - Our regular Friday night prayer times planned for the first and third Friday of each month will be modified for July and August. Rather than meet at the Blazina's, we'll meet at the Tuscany Club at 7:00 pm, divide into smaller groups and prayer walk around Tuscany for about an hour. Join us this coming Friday, July 3, then again on July 17, August 7 & August 21.
- No Children's Ministry - To give our hardworking children's ministry volunteers a much-deserved break, there will be no pre-school or grade school programs for July & August. Our regular children's ministry programs will resume on Sunday, September 6.
- Nursery Volunteers Needed - We will continue to offer nursery for the summer, but are looking for stand-in volunteers in order to give our regular nursery workers a break. If you don't normally help with nursery, here's your chance to give yourself away and serve the young families and visitors in our church by stepping up to volunteer for a Sunday. This is a great opportunity for a small group to take turns helping. To sign-up, please contact Janet Napady at 403-208-1318 or by email.
- Steve Away - Steve will be taking some time off July 8 until August 11. In his absence, please contact one of the elders: Bob Shelton, Thom Gordon or Max Blazina.
- Tapestry News - With things slowing down for the summer, the Tapestry newsletter will only be sent out every other week rather than weekly.
This Sunday, we continue our journey through Acts and will look at Acts 16:6-15. We'll also celebrate the Lord's Supper.
Next Sunday, July 12 we'll be looking at Acts 16:16-40
GOD'S WORD IN YOU
Here's the memory verse for this week: Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12 NIV).
