Party
Congratulations to James Banman and Kendra Lee who were recently engaged! To celebrate, an informal get-together in their honor is planned for this Saturday, November 1 in the chapel at the seminary in Cochrane. Mission Possible
At Tapestry, we want to be intentional about giving ourselves away here in Tuscany, in our city, in our nation and around the globe. Do you have a heart for missions? Have some thoughts and ideas on cool stuff we could do? Steve and Marilyn are hosting a dessert meeting at their place on Sunday, November 9 at 6:30 pm to talk, dream and pray about how God wants us to be on mission together as a church. Please let Steve know if you plan to attend.
Serving at The Seed
Speaking of giving ourselves away, we have an opportunity to help serve some our city's less fortunate at The Mustard Seed Street Ministry on Saturday, November 29 from 9:00 am to noon. We will prepare lunch, help clean the facility and sort through donations. To sign-up, please contact Steve or add your name to the sign-up sheet at church on Sunday.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a project of Samaritan's Purse, brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the message of God's unconditional love. Here's how you can get involved:

Youth
Pumpkin Carving
Friday, October 24 @ 7:00 pm at Josh & Kelly Genn's in Cochrane. To arrange for a ride or for more info, please contact Josh & Kelly (403-668-1479).
Getting Together With God
God's desire is that we know Him intimately and enjoy an authentic, personal and growing relationship with Him. An important part of developing that relationship is spending time alone with God on a regular basis. If you're not sure how to do that, or want some help in cultivating a personal quiet time that works for you, come on out for an informal dessert get-together this Sunday, October 26 at 6:30 pm at Steve & Marilyn's place. To sign-up, please contact Steve by Friday.
Tapestry Kids Need You!
We love our kids at Tapestry and we want to provide the very best in helping them learn what it means to know, love and follow Jesus. We are in urgent need of adult teachers and helpers for all of our children's ministry programs. Will you give yourself away to serve God, our kids and their parents in these vital ministries? For more information or to help out, please speak with Janet Napady (Nursery), Debbie Shelton (Pre-school) or Khara Tait (Grades 1 - 6).

God Stories
"Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done...tell of all his wonderful acts." (Psalm 105:1,2). God is at work all around us and it is good to tell of the wonderful things He has done. Hearing how God is at work among us not only gives Him glory, but it's a tremendous encouragement to others and builds our faith as we follow Jesus together. What's your God story? It may be an answer to prayer, a surprise blessing, or some other way God has shown Himself faithful to you. Nothing is too "small" to share; if it's important to you, it's important to us! Please let Max or Steve know about your God Story and we'll make sure you are given an opportunity to tell what He has done for you.
God's Word in You
Here's the memory verse for this week: Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent (John 17:3 NIV).

Loving God's Word
As mentioned during last Sunday's message, there are tremendous benefits for those who hide God's Word in their hearts. It will help you resist temptation, make wise decisions, share your faith and provide you with a ready source of strength and encouragement. If you missed getting one last week, be sure to pick up the "God's Word in You" brochure we put together to help you hide God's Word in your heart. It contains 52 Bible verses to memorize - one each week for a year - and some tips to help get you started. This is a great thing to do together as a family or with your small group! Here's the verse for this week: "I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." (Psalm 119:11 NIV).
Photos!
In case you missed it last week, we've uploaded some photos from the Stampede Breakfast, Morley Day Camps, Baseball Game, Family Camp, our Fall Kick-off and the Fall Family Hike. Click here to check them out!
