Changes to Friday Night Prayer, Men's Study, & Got Your Bible?

FRIDAY NIGHT PRAYER
Prayer is one of the five core practices that define what we do at Tapestry. Because we believe in the importance of prayer, and to make it more feasible for those living in Cochrane, we're going to expand our Friday night prayer times as follows...
We'll continue to meet at Max & Lynda's place (37 Tuscany Springs Circle) for prayer on the 1st and 3rd Friday each month. Join us this Friday, January 15 at 7:00 pm for prayer and the Lord's Supper. Afterward, we'll enjoy hanging out.
David & Lauren Miller will also host a prayer gathering at their place in Cochrane (2 Seminary Ridge) on the 2nd and 4th Friday each month, starting next Friday, Jan. 22 at 6:00 pm.
You're encouraged to join the group closest to you as often as you can. It's an important time of seeking the Lord together. "Prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge to Satan." (John Bunyan)
MEN'S STUDY
The men's study based on the book No More Christian Nice Guy begins this Sunday at 9:30 am at Tuscany School. For more information, please contact Marty Pangracs at weirdodad@gmail.com.
SOUND CREW
We're looking for a few people who would like to be part of a Sound/Tech Crew at Tapestry. No experience necessary, just a willingness to learn, serve and be a part of helping ensure our sound system is properly set up and monitored. If interested, please contact Chris Johnstone at cjohnstone1@me.com.
GOT YOUR BIBLE?
One of our core values at Tapestry is Scripture: we love it, learn it and live it. To help you love, learn and live God's Word, we gave "Daily Walk Bibles" to everyone a few weeks ago that include a reading plan and daily devotionals to help you read through the entire Bible in 2010. It's a life-changing journey we'll be on together! Just a reminder to bring your Bible with you to church each week, as we'll be using them in our messages. If you've been away, be sure to pick up your new Bible this Sunday at church.
PRAYING FOR ONE ANOTHER
This week, please pray for the Melazzo family (Nick, Cerena, Olivia & Caitlin) and the Miller family (David, Lauren & Zoe). As you pray, be sensitive to how God may want to use you to minister to them.
BIRTHDAYS THIS WEEK...
Birthday blessings to Lauren Miller who is celebrating her special day this week (Jan. 17). Happy Birthday Lauren! Did we miss you or someone in your family? Let Steve know and we'll update our records.
