HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
This Sunday, we'll celebrate with a special Thanksgiving service. An opportunity will be given to share about God's goodness, so come prepared to share!
"SURVIVAL KIT" STUDY
Being a follower of Jesus is far more than simply trusting Christ for salvation. You know it's true, but how do you grow spiritually, live out your faith and be a "survivor" in your walk with God? Survival Kit will help you learn principles that are foundational to your spiritual growth, such as:
NEW MEMBERS
We'd like to extend a warm welcome to the following people who recently entered into covenant with us and became members of Tapestry: Curtis Bestard, Binyam Asress and Mila & Ver Averion. If you're interested in learning how you can commit more fully to Tapestry by becoming a member, please speak to Steve.
YOUTH
The youth are heading to Kernel's Corn Maze next Friday, October 16. Meet at the Tuscany Club at 5:30 pm. Bring $5.00, a flashlight, warm clothes and lots of friends (just let Josh & Kelly know how many friends you're bringing so we have enough rides). Speaking of rides, if anyone is interested in driving, please talk with Josh & Kelly at jkgenn@gmail.com.
AIRSOFTING
A night of airsofting is planned for Friday, October 16 from 10:00 pm until midnight or so. Airsofting is much like paintball, but leaves you with less of a welt (and involves more skill!!). This is for people 14 years and older. If you're interested in joining in the fun, please contact Chris Johnstone at cjohnstone1@me.com.
BREAKFORTH
Join 15,000 other people from over 1,000 churches at the largest equipping and renewal conference in North America - Break Forth Canada 2010, January 29-31 in Edmonton. For more information, pick up a brochure at church. Group rates are available, so if you're interested in going please contact Ver Averion at bench815@hotmail.com, as he's planning on organizing a group from Tapestry.
GOD'S WORD IN YOU
Here's the memory verse for this week: This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. (1 John 3:16)
