CHANCE FOR TICKETS!
We still have a limited number of tickets left for Tapestry's showing of FIREPROOF this Saturday, Feb. 21 at 7:00 pm (doors open at 6:30) at the Tuscany Club. FRIDAY NIGHT PRAYER
Prayer is one of the practices that define who we are as a community of faith, and therefore we set aside the first and third Friday of every month to pray together. We'll gather this Friday, Feb. 20 at 7:00 pm at Max & Lynda's place (37 Tuscany Springs Circle) and the focus of our prayer time will be our Fireproof movie night. Afterward, we'll hang out and play some games. Join us!
PHOTO CLUB
Like snapping photos? A group at Tapestry is starting a Photo Club for anyone interested in digital photography. For more information, please talk to Steve Yeo or Marilyn Rathje.
BABY SHOWER
A baby shower is planned for Joyce Poon and little Aubrey on Sunday, March 1 at 3:00 pm at Abbie's place (1 Carolina Crescent, Cochrane). For more information, please contact Abbie Macdonald (403-851-1054) or Kelly Genn (403-668-1479).
LEARNING ABOUT MORMONISM
Do you have Mormon friends or neighbors? Are you interested in learning more about what Mormons believe? Tapestry is hosting an "Understanding Mormonism" session on Thursday, March 5 at 7:00 pm at the Tuscany Club. The session will be led by Dr. James Walker, a former fourth generation Mormon and renowned expert on the faith. For more information or to register, please contact Steve.
SERMON SCRIPTURE
This week, we'll be looking at Acts 8:1-25. Check it out and see how persecution against the church after Stephen's death forced believers to go beyond Jerusalem to share the gospel and read about a sorcerer who tried to buy the gift of God.
GOD'S WORD IN YOU
Here's the memory verse for this week: Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2 NIV).
